Beyond Growth: Financing Sustainability to Build Back Better
10 March 2022 | 9.30 AM – 12 PM
Financing sustainable development remains a huge challenge, especially in developing countries. Comprehensive discussions are needed to highlight ways to promote sustainable financing, involving government, industry, civil society, academia, and international organisations.
This was the primary motivation behind the collaborative endeavour between the Institute of Capital Market Research Malaysia (ICMR), and external authors from both academia and industry, to produce the book “Financing Sustainability, Critical Issues with East Asian Experiences”. In dissecting the experience of a high-income economy and some middle- and low-income economies in East and Southeast Asia, the book breaks new ground by linking evidence with strategies and mechanism in countries with different locations on the development trajectory. The unveiling of ICMR’s book, will be accompanied by a panel discussion featuring the authors alongside academia and industry experts. This discussion will bridge thematic ideas from the published book with the current realities of building back stronger from the pandemic. |
