To better understand the current state of access to market-based financing for SMEs in Malaysia, alongside the challenges and opportunities, the Institute for Capital Market Research (ICMR) conducted a nationwide survey targeting key decision makers in different types of SMEs, complemented by qualitative interviews and focus group discussions with the main players in the SME ecosystem.
The research findings were unveiled at a launch event on Friday, 23 February 2024 held at the Securities Commission (SC) Malaysia. The event also featured a panel discussion alongside academia and industry experts that delved deeper into the findings to discuss key themes and topics.
